Às Avessas (Limited Edition of 5)
Às Avessas (In Reverse) is a metaphor for the frailty of humanity in the face of technological change. The original photograph, taken in Coral Gables, Florida, depicts a group of people standing on a roadway lined with brightly colored umbrellas hung from the buildings above. Although umbrellas are typically seen as symbols of protection and shelter, the image was purposely inverted to suggest that humanity is now at the mercy of technology.
Photography, Digital Painting, Print, mounted under acrylic
