Lockdown (Limited Edition of 5)
In April 2020, during a self-imposed lockdown and prolonged isolation, “Lockdown” was created to express the challenges faced during the initial months of the coronavirus pandemic. From the artist's apartment balcony, various reflections and images passing through the glass window were captured, including a rug, water from the bay, the sunny skies of Miami, mansions and trees from La Gorce Island, and the tiled promenade of the balcony. The photograph was initially taken to freeze a moment, but it transformed into a colorful and uplifting representation that symbolizes the human spirit's resilience in highly unstable and historic times. The artwork, printed and face-mounted in Acrylic/Plexiglass, serves as a testament to the positive and uplifting spirits that emerged from the uncertainties of the pandemic.
