Metropolis (Limited Edition of 5)

According to studies, rising ocean waters are predicted to inundate many coastal areas and incredible places worldwide in the next few decades. The artwork "Metropolis" was inspired by this notion and envisions a city of the future that has succumbed to the rising waters, creating an unwelcoming setting for classic noir photography. The piece pays homage to those who have suffered, are currently at risk, or will be affected by inequalities in the distribution of dry land. While Metropolis highlights the issue of the rich and powerful seizing all the dry land, its intention is not to merely restate this point, but rather to evoke an emotional response and ultimately contribute to the prevention of a "noir flooded future."
